Australian are adopting greener attitudes on the car lot, with more than half of drivers nationally (54%) saying they would consider environmental factors, such as air pollution rating or fuel efficiency, before buying a new car, according to new research from AAMI.
In addition to this, 32% are using ethanol blends or biofuels.
But there are still barriers to the uptake of greener vehicles, fuels and behaviours.
This is the first installment of AAMI's 2010 Green Home and Motoroing Index. Stay tuned for more information later in the week.
