Carbon Price announcement
The Prime Minister, Treasurer and Minister for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency have just finished their announcement on the proposed Carbon Price mechanism to be introduced in July 2012.
Looking at a price of $23 per tonne CO2-e; a $946M Biodiversity Fund; investment in renewables; compensation to assist in closing coal power stations; and more.
