Senate passes Carbon Farming Initiative
The Australian Senate yesterday passed the Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) Bill 2011, albeit with some amendments.
The Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) Bill 2011 and associated bills will now be returned to the lower house for the Senate amendments to be approved.
Greenfleet strongly supports the introduction of legislation to underpin the Carbon Farming Initiative (CFI) and to provide certainty to the offsets market.

We look forward to the final passage of this legislation and will immediately commence the process to become accredited under this scheme once it is finalised.
